2 Fast 2 Furious

Genre: Action thriller.

Narrative: The storyline of this movie is clearly a bunch of young people take it to the streets of America and they race for respect, cars and money.

Character: The characters all have their own mind set and they don't all think the same as in some are wise and some are not wise. Bryan or as we know him Paul Walker is the main character with Tyrese and they both race for cars. Bryan is more of a wise clever character whereas Tyrese is the funny yet sometimes serious character. This creates humour in this movie.

Iconography: This film has so many of iconography for a RACE or ACTION type movie. In this movie we see plenty of fights and arguments and also police chases. This is proving my point in why I'm saying this is an action movie.

Setting: The setting is in the streets of america where there are empty abandoned roads. But in  the main part(s) of the movie we see Bryan and Tyrese take off to a more richer wealthier sight. They go to a mansion where their rival is but Bryan somehow finds love there to the rivals wife.
Mr and Mrs Smith

Genre: Romantic Action thriller.

Narrative:
The storyline of this film is that a married couple are going against each other but then some how find love in their hate. They then come together and go against the police and S.W.A.T teams.

Character: The characters are good looking and are very wealthy. Brad Pitt is a strong, smart and wise man but very charming. Angelina Jolie is almost the same as Brad but she is a bit more wise and has a more sophisticated back-up whereas Brad has a guy who he gets weapon's from.

Iconography: There are a few of iconography of the romantic action thriller: There is plenty of shooting and kissing.Composedly jumping off a roof (maybe with one arm)

Setting: This is set in America and the main parts of the movie are in a big fashionable mansion which is where most of the action happens. Some of the main scenes are set in clear empty deserts or in  apartments.

This shows us that these guys are dominant as the camera shows the subjects as one behind the other diagonally. This shot is a medium close up as you can't see their waists, just slightly but you can see there shoulders upwards. Also there is a chase about to happen and so it shows Tom Cruse's perspective and then these guys perspectives to show a threat or danger.
This shot shows a rusty old car in the middle of an ally way. Also you can just about see Tom in the background. This is a long shot because you see head to feet. Again this shot shows a chase about to go down and tom runs past whilst the camera pans horizontally.
This shows another medium close up of Tom and the reason they have used this is it shows the full emotional feelings of the main character. You could say he is thinking but you could also say that he knows he could be in danger as lots of his enemies suround him. But to point out he is the MAIN character he manages to find his way out.

The reason I chose this is because I thought the black and yellow batman would look really cool. With the help of my teacher I added a different batman picture and I used that to create the grey colours that I think stand out. As you can see the grapes are a mixture between black, yellow and grey. This,I think, gives it a nice look.

Summer project.

My summer project homework is going to be about a movie recently watched called Lucy
The reason why I chose this movie is because of course I recently watched it but another reason is because I found the way this movie flowed was really interesting and it all made sense to me.

The sub-genre of this movie is body horror which essentially is a differ to the human body which makes it act unusual or unnatural and that is another reason why this comes under the whole of Science fiction.
In this movie A girl called LUCY is with a man and they go into a place what happens to be a hotel she doesn't want to but he forces her to give a suitcase to a lady who is meant to sign people in. She has no option but to go in as the suitcase because it is tied to her wrist. She then enters a room with a man who seems to be the typical evil guy in the movie and so he sits her down and puts a gun to her head. I just want to point out that at this point she is really scared and she begs him not to harm her. The bad guys assistance bring in a line of scary -unusual unnatural- people and a guy seems to be bleeding and almost looks as if he is possessed screaming he is then killed. After a while she is suffocated and then put laid down on a bed. She then wakes up with stitches in her belly and a blue liquid contained in a plastic case. Later on that day she got in a fight with a man and he brutally assaulted her and kicked her in her belly right where the blue liquid was and it bursts in her belly. This made changes to her. She unlocked more and more percentage of her knowledge that shouldn't be normal and because of this she became immortal and then  she was able to change her facial and body features and if you remember i took a moment to say she was scared of being harmed well now she wasnt afraid of anything. As time went by she unlocked features to change her person as in change how she looks. Her brain could do  anything she could rewind time she could appear on your t.v screen at any time seen in the movie. But finally she got to 100% and at the end of the movie she morphs into a sort of black creature and then disappears. Then a guy asks where is she and he receives a message saying 'im everywhere' and on that note they end the movie.

This sets a dystopian future for this movie as she was good and who knows maybe because shes everywhere and everything she can do anything she wants which may effect earth.

Lucy Trailer

The producer is  EUROCORP and it was directed by Luc Besson
The cast: Scarlett Johansson,Morgan Freeman,Choi-Min-Sik,Amr Waked,Analeigh Tipton,Johan Phillip Asbaek,Mason Lee,Julian Rhind Tutt,Luca Angelleti,Loic Brabant.

This production was released in 2014 .

Richard Nelson runs the production.

Cite Du Cineman is another film produced by Europacorp.

They had a budget of $49 million euro's as they are a French production and they have over 3,172 theatres that opened in the U.S and that started off with $17 million euros and same goes for there box office.

Critics say that it is enthusiastic and silly. Also they say that the thrills are a bit cheesy! The film was not nominated for any awards.

I think that the target audience for this movie is 18+ as it does have its gory moments and also the gender is probably women because it is a solo women on a mission to save her self and also she dominates men characters. The people watching this should be clever as it has its moments of intelligence and there are moments where they speak about science things and that gets complicated. I'm not to sure about.

My blog made by photoshop

This is my HSBC photo shopped work. These images work with the same word in each picture and also the slogan on the right which is 'the more you look at the world, the more you recognise what really matters to people. The word I have chosen to go with to go with these three different pictures is relief.

In the first image you see a pain killer tablet. When you take this you start to feel relieved and you start to feel better. In the middle one you see a WWE (world wrestling entertainment) you see a Roman Reigns celebrating a tough victory. It takes a lot of hard work and pain so for him to come out as victorious is a great achievement and especially a massive relief. In the last image you see a group of students or just there graduation hats being thrown up into the air. They would be relieved because they must've worked hard and put in the time and hours to get to this stage so again for them this a great achievement and again especially a massive relief.

Aurora

Genre:
Aurora (2015) is a romantic version of a sub-genre science fiction movie. It seems as if the world is ending and robots are taking over meaning humans are limited of choice. Also the world is a dystopia and humans want to change it back into a utopia for the following generations to come. A woman is in a hospital possibly sick and I think that she is turning into some sort of unrealistic creature. Robots change the world into a futuristic world and buildings are torn. Humans have know where to go.

Key conventions:
In this trailer there are a variety of features which make this a sci-fi. In the background you hear a man saying how the world is doomed and in the first couple of shots the world is normal but then a scene shows a robot and the man starts talking more about of bad the world is. He will get into detail and say how human nature is breaking apart.

Target audience:
The target audience is a hard one to think about however I think the target audience is both genders in there teenage or in their 20's. The film doesn't have a rating yet but most likely to be 18+. In 2020 it is concluded that humans are the biggest threat to the planet, but sixty years later the main male character doesn't know where he stands any more and meets the main female character who says she's on her way to a place called Aurora. The romance comes in when it seems as if a lady is mutating into some sort of robot or unrealistic character. The reason this may appeal to young males in there teenage is because it consists robotic and violent things which may appear in games or some sort. The reason it may appeal to young females in there teenage is because it has hints of romance within the movie and it has a heroine character who seems to know what she's doing and where she is going. The reason it may appeal to both genders in there 20's is because it includes a hero man who is with a heroine and it might get cool to see both genders working together and again it includes appropriate romance which younger's like to see.

Alien Outpost
Genre:
This movie comes under the sub-genre of alien invasion which comes under sci-fi. The fact that there are soldiers being interviewed and speaking as if this happened to them years ago ( not many years ago) suggests that this happened in the past. The main feature in this trailer are Aliens.

Target Audience:
It certainly is not an easy decision  to suggest a certain age group or gender that would watch this but I have come to the conclusion that this may be a 18+ film as there is a lot of death shown in these clips and when blood is shown it is very detailed and there is lots of it which is why this may not appeal to young children and might be a film where teenagers go out with friends to watch it. At the start of this trailer it opens up with a question which is being answered throughout the whole movie via scenes and verbal explanations. The second scene is something to really think about as a man who I assume is the main character ( but no signs in this trailer that he is) gives a brief explanation of what has happened. The reason we may be attracted to this movie is because it shows all this blood and gore but we may like this sort of movie due to certain computer games or books. We also a fire ball said to be aliens but in this clip the "main character" says 'they first dropped through the atmosphere' he says they leaving a tension to the audience who still hasn't heard what mutant this is. They launched a world wide attack suggesting there were lots of these aliens which is another reason why 18 and overs may be more suited to this because they are intelligent and know more about around the world.

Key conventions:
There aren't as many key conventions as Auroura but there are enough to give this the sub-genre of alien invasion and the genre of sci-fi. You see a fire ball go through the atmosphere and break into the whole world. You also see drawings of aliens and there are harsh small flashes of aliens but its extremely harsh you almost do not see them. Also, if you pause the video at 1:50 you see a very clear shot of the alien and there is a key feature... it has armoured gear on.

Jurassic World
Genre:The genre of this film is adventurous but what makes this sci-fi is the fact that it includes a feature which is extinct in other words does not exist or is a unrealistic character. The fact that there are dinosaurs everywhere implies that the population is rising quickly.

Key conventions:
Some of the features in this movie make it what it is. One of the most key ones is that there is an unrealistic feature and this feature is that there are dinosaurs which are extinct. Chris Pratt is the main character and he wears the typical vest that we always see in adventure movies.

Target audience:
The target audience in my opinion is a 12+ as it can get violent and the screams may be to much for young children that are 7 and think its an ordinary dinosaur movie. Also it has scenes where it looks as if something bloody or gory may happen which may not attract parents if they sit down with there kids to watch this.

Introduction to media

Hello Media Friends!

The reason why I chose Media Studies is because my older brother has done it for his GCSE's so he will be able to help me out with my work.

The part I am looking forward to doing the most is making videos and taking shoots for the videos.

The knowledge I hope to learn is editing and using photo shop as I do make my own you tube videos which are good but could be improved.

The grade that I am realistically trying to get in media is a B because I know it is always possible to get an A or A* but I hope first time I get a B.

The last t.v program I watched was humans which is a show where a new type of robots are introduced and are programmed to do certain things. In a certain episode an actual human is told by the robot it can look after her kid better. shocking!!

I think that appears to +18 because it can get awkward at some points and it definitely gets gory. I think that the reason why it appeals to them... I'm not really sure to be honest.

The most recent technology I used in the last 24 hours is my Iphone 5s, a pc, my t.v.

The device I use the most is my phone because I can do a lot of things on it such as upload from it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-6G911eCvg

I think that the jurassic world trailer would fit into adventure because it is all around greenery and they search for things or adventure to find things. It may also fit into action though.
